Ideal Commercial Heating launches most efficient wall-hung boiler

Building on the success of the Imax W, Ideal Commercial Heating's new Evomax wall-hung boiler looks set to further raise the bar for efficiency and performance.
Heralded as the one of the easiest commercial boilers to install, service, operate and maintain, the Evomax is the highest efficiency boiler of its type to be produced by Ideal to date, with seasonal boiler efficiencies in accordance with Building Regulations Part L2, of up to 97.2%. Evomax delivers the highest full load efficiency in its class and with wider output modulation of 5:1 ensures closer load matching and more efficient system operation. Thanks to this market-leading performance, and whole-range low NOx emissions of less than 40mg/kWh, this British-built product qualifies for maximum BREEAM points.
The introduction of the Evomax has enabled Ideal to more closely address customer needs, aiding energy efficiency (and the accompanying cost savings) further. From 30kW at the lower end, to 150kW at the higher end of the Natural Gas unit range, the Evomax can be used in a greater variety of cascade arrangements than the Imax W, with configurations available up to 600kW. LPG-fired models with outputs of 30kW, 40kW, 60kW and 80kW will also be launched in due course. This broad spectrum of possibilities ensures this innovative product is suitable for a wide variety of applications, from small shops and offices to larger nursing homes and schools.
A high-standard specification includes remote indication, BMS control, hours run, frost protection and weather compensation. Owing to the flexibility of back-to-back or in-line cascading, the boiler's compact sizing, as standard, and the rear positioning of the system connections, siting the Evomax is easy. All models are just one height and width, 850mm x 500mm, with 30kW-80kW models only 350mm deep, the beefier 100kW-120kW models measuring 520mm, and the highest output 150kW unit 610mm deep.
Also contributing to easy siting is a comprehensive selection of insulated frame and header kits, plus room-sealed and open flue system choices. In addition, the existing Imax W modulating sequencer and room sensor have been joined by new options, including an easy-to-use programmable room thermostat, outside sensor, tank sensor, safety interlock and pump kits.
With a lower lift weight than its predecessor and one of the lightest ranges available, handling the unit on installation is easier – and the same redesign process that achieved this weight saving has also further improved already impressive standards of quality and performance. Behind the moulded plastic fascia a robust cast aluminium-silicon alloy heat exchanger with integral connections offers greater reliability, thanks to its monobloc construction, while a general reduction in the number of other individual components also supports dependability. As with its predecessor the Imax, for basic installation all that is required is the Evomax and a flue.
Ease of use and quiet operation also make the Evomax end-user-friendly, the most notable new feature being a plain English text in a backlit five-line LCD display. In addition, a two year parts and labour warranty demonstrates Ideal's dedication to its customers, from purchase to installation and beyond, ensuring optimum reliability now and in the future.
